I am a Bilingual Mental health therapist with more than 10 years of experience providing services in English and Spanish in Sunnyvale, CA.
I have a Master’s degree in counseling psychology and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). LMFT’s have the education and training to provide therapeutic services to adults, children, teenagers, couples, and families. I have clinical experience working with both youth and adults.
Working with youth requires more creativity and talent and I feel gifted for being able to connect emotionally with young ones. Additionally, I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and EFT (Emotion Focused Therapy).
I began my career path working with the most mentally ill populations, because I decided that to strive as a therapist I must be challenged with the highest level of difficulty. I have extensive experience working with severe mentally ill children, adults, and families. My experience includes inpatient and outpatient treatment. I have a substantial background working with anxiety, complex trauma, depression, family issues, autism, challenging behaviors, divorce, and relational problems.

You and a phone consultant will discuss any issues that you are currently looking to work on. This is also a good opportunity for you to ask any additional questions that you may have about our practice. At the end of the consultation, you and the consultant will decide what the next step will be with regards to therapy and service linkage.
Therapy sessions are typically 45-50 minutes, while groups run longer per session. Clients typically meet on a weekly or bi-weekly basis depending on the client’s needs. The length of time while in therapy will depend on the individual client’s circumstance. The therapist and client will determine that together.
There is no specific time frame when working on personal development and growth. Depending on the type of changes that you are looking to make and the variety of issues that you are attempting to work on, therapy can last from a few sessions to much longer. Some find therapy to be extremely beneficial and choose to make it a long-term process.
We are out-of-network providers for all other insurance plans. Our cancellation policy requires 48 hour notice of cancellation. Cancellation with less than 48 hours notice requires payment in full. If you are unable to attend your session in person, you can always do it via phone or video.
